: The water temperature control of Swift is very sensitive. R's Inc has started to sell RRP Middle Temperature Thermostat through a lots of tests result of supercharger, super ECU and etc. We found many cases that the performance of engine does not perform fully with a factory low temperature thermostat. ( starting to work around 65 degree ) With using original factory low temperature thermostat, a temperature of water is getting lower too much and causes power down and/or mileage worser, so a driver feels something power loosing and/or bad response of throttle work.

When the temperature goes down around 80 degrees, the computer misjudges that the engine is still not warm yet and send the direction to variable valve timing and/or electro throttle functions.
Then the performance of engine will be restricted in total by those effects.

But the temperature of water in engine should be controlled in proper in low to perform well so we have developed RRP Middle Temperature Thermostat for Swift. By using this thermostat, the temperature of water keeps 80 to 95 degrees and the performance of engine will be the best condition as well.
